Jesus’ Commands

“If you love me, keep my commands.” John 14:15

Believing in Jesus and becoming a Christian is only the beginning. That’s why Jesus instructs His followers “to go and make disciples”. It is more than just believing, it is following and devoting your life to Jesus. In the first four books of the New Testament, there are four similar accounts of the life and teaching of Jesus. Here we read what Jesus instructed His first disciples to do and is what He wants us to put into practice too. Jesus calls this keeping His commands and is what being a disciple is all about.

As you read each scripture below, remember that you have the help of the Holy Spirit, giving you the desire and ability to practice the teachings of Jesus. There is no obligation or impressing God, just loving God and letting Him lead and change you!

Here are some of His commands that will begin to shape and direct your new life in Jesus.
